Welcome
Welcome to Bagthorpe Primary School.
We are a busy primary school, located in the conservation village of Bagthorpe, near Underwood, Nottinghamshire.
Bagthorpe Primary School is a special and happy place, where children are given the very best opportunities to learn for life, to grow together and to achieve their full potential.
We aim for excellence in achievement and personal development by having a stimulating curriculum, which closely matches the needs of our children and encourages them to be confident, motivated and enthusiastic learners. We believe that learning should be fun, that children should have a childhood enriched by the highest standard of education and that their school days should provide happy memories to last a lifetime.
The school, which dates from 1873, is situated on a five-acre site, which includes woodland areas, ponds, a school field, garden and play areas. Outdoor learning is a key part of our work – read about Let's GLOW! to find out more.
We hope that this website captures the ethos of our school. You are also very welcome to visit us, which is the best way to find out more, to see the school in action and to let us answer any questions you may have.
We look forward to meeting you.
