Fund Raising

Welcome to the Bagthorpe PTA Page.

The Bagthorpe Fund Raising Group is for anybody who has a connection to the school, including parents, staff, governors, grandparents, aunts, uncles as well as other members of the community who may not have children at the school.   

During the year, a range of events and social activities take place, including Summer Fetes, Discos, the Summer Barbecue, and Christmas Fayre, to name but a few.   Events are very popular and help us to raise funds for equipment, books, furniture and other projects, all of which improve the opportunities we offer to our children.   Our most recent fund-raising has been towards the extension of our outdoor play equipment.

Dates and times of meetings are included in the school newsletter and we try to arrange these at convenient times.   All are welcome to attend and we are always pleased to see new faces!


Whilst some people come along regularly and are very active in organising events, we know that family life is busy and so we have a list of people who perhaps can’t make the meetings but are still happy to be called upon to help out where possible.

In fact, if you would like to meet some of the group, why not come along to the monthly coffee morning which takes place on the first Wednesday of each month from 8.45am until 10am - It's an informal get-together opportunity for anyone who is interested and you will be guaranteed a very warm welcome.
